The NSON7 'Bioactive' Science.
Each NSON7 formula is built around how skin functions biologically. Not around trends, fragrance, or commercial convenience. The starting point is always the skin: its barrier, its microbiome, its chemistry - what it needs, and what actually works.
Bioactive means an ingredient that produces a measurable biological effect on the skin. It doesn't sit on the surface.
It interacts with skin cells directly, driving real change. Many of the bioactives in NSON7 are drawn from West African botanical tradition: plants with generations of skin knowledge behind them, now validated through modern formulation science.
Ingredients are selected for their function. Pure, minimally processed, and combined deliberately — every pairing chosen because the research supports it. 97–100% natural, 100% vegan, fully transparent.
The NSON7 Name.
'NSON' is the Twi word for 'seven' - the number of perfection, completion, and wholeness. Biblically, seven marks the moment creation is finished.

The NSON7 System.
The NSON7 system is built across seven categories, each formulated in the format best suited to its ingredients and designed to work with the others.
Ingredient efficacy depends on format. Some actives perform best water-based, others oil-based. Some require leave-on contact; others work on quick contact and rinse.
All Products are 100% Vegan, 100% cruelty-free, between 97% and 100% natural, and scientifically formulated with clean ingredients.
All of our packaging is 100% plastic-free.
1.0 Cleanse.
Formulated for effective cleansing and active lifestyles. We keep this step focused and simple: only ingredients that do their job on quick contact and rinse. Many skincare actives need extended contact time to have a meaningful effect on the skin, which means some actives are better suited to leave-on formats than cleansers.
2.0 Treat.
Formulated for maximum impact. We reserve this step for products and ingredients that benefit from extended contact time. From manual exfoliation to leave-on mask treatments, we use ingredients that genuinely need that time to perform. Used 1–2 times weekly for maximum effect.
3.0 Enhance.
Formulated for daily enhancement. Daily actives like glycerin, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, peptide complexes, and willow bark extract are naturally water-soluble.
A water-based format allows these actives to be delivered directly in a lightweight, focused step. Formulating these into a cream requires emulsifiers and thickeners to bind oil and water together - useful for texture and stability, but ingredients we avoid where we can.
4.0 Moisturise.
Formulated to seal it in. Oil-based actives form a protective lipid layer that seals in moisture and reinforces the skin barrier. Applied after Enhance, they seal in the water-based actives underneath. This layered approach allows each step to be formulated in the format that best suits its function.
5.0 Ingest.
Formulated from the inside out. Skin health is influenced not only by what is applied topically but also by nutrition, hydration, and internal balance. This step focuses on ingredients chosen to support collagen formation, hydration, barrier function, and overall skin health from within.
6.0 Tools.
Designed to elevate results. No matter how well formulated a product is, tools can help create better conditions for the routine to work well - supporting exfoliation, circulation, and the overall effectiveness of the system.
7.0 Rest.
Designed for you. Stress affects the skin as much as the mind. Elevated cortisol triggers inflammation, disrupts the skin barrier, and accelerates the visible signs of ageing. NSON7 extends beyond body care into the environment around the system. Candles and sensory home products created with the same intention as the rest of the system.
The NSON7 Standards.
Plastic-Free.
The beauty industry produces over 120 billion units of packaging per year — most of it plastic. Microplastics from cosmetic products and packaging have been detected in human blood, lung tissue, and placenta. (PMC, 2025) Bioplastics are not safer — a 2020 study testing 43 bioplastic products found they are similarly toxic to conventional plastics. (Environment International, 2020) NSON7 uses glass, aluminium, and natural fibres. No plastic in any product, package, or component.
Fragrance-Free.
Synthetic fragrance is the second most common cause of allergic contact dermatitis after nickel. Sensitisation to fragrance compounds affects up to 6.8% of dermatitis patients in Europe, with prevalence rising. (Contact Dermatitis, 2024) NSON7 contains zero synthetic fragrance. Any scent present comes from the functional botanical ingredients within — floral waters, essential oils, plant extracts.
Vegan.
No animal-derived ingredient in our range outperforms the alternative we have chosen. No beeswax, no lanolin, no animal collagen. Registered with PETA.
Cruelty-Free.
Never tested on animals. Registered with PETA Cruelty-Free.
Clean.
Natural does not mean safe. Petroleum is natural. Lead is natural. Every NSON7 ingredient is assessed for safety, function, and purpose. If it doesn't have a job, it's not in the formula.

97–100% naturally derived. Where a synthetic active is used — peptide complexes in the 3.4 and 4.3, MSM in the 5.1 — no natural equivalent exists at an efficacious level. We state which and why on every product page. No fillers. No bulkers. No binders.

The NSON7 Founder.
NSON7 was founded by Akosua Akobeng, a biomedical scientist educated at King’s College London.
Having grown up with eczema, psoriasis, and extreme skin sensitivity, Akosua spent years searching for skincare that could truly support her skin. The turning point came when she began creating her own, blending Traditional West African botanicals from her heritage with the scientific knowledge shaped by her background.
Through that process, she not only experienced first-hand how transformative this approach could be, but also developed a deeper understanding of the science within each ingredient - studying the naturally occurring actives responsible for how each formulation performed on the skin.
From that foundation, she created NSON7: a range where the precision of scientific actives meets the biosynergy of natural ingredients that work with the skin. Built on a belief in transparency, formulation integrity, and long-term skin health, NSON7 is designed to deliver skincare that is both considered and effective.
